CPR – Life Saving Stories

There are more incidences of CPR around the world on a daily basis then most people realize. You do not have to be a first responder to be a hero to someone. Being able to perform CPR can save a life literally.

There are so many amazing stories that just shore up the idea that taking a CPR class and getting certified is something that everyone should consider. Being able to quickly move in a situation where CPR can save a life is something that is very valuable.

Standing around helplessly while someone needs life saving intervention is something that no one should ever have to go through.  There are so many inspiring stories that can send chills up your spine because CPR has really meant the difference between life and death for so many people.

Regular People Turned Hero

• In South Brunswick, NJ, a 61 year old man can thank his wife for giving him his second chance.  Robert Woods had trouble breathing, so his wife called 911, then started chest compression’s and thanks to her quick reaction and ability to perform CPR he is alive to tell the story of his hero wife today. • CPR is not just for older adults. A quick thinking teenager in a Walmart in Missouri heard a situation developing aisles away and rushed to help. She saved an 11 month old babies life. Abby Snodgrass had just been certified in CPR and was able to use what she learned to rescue the baby. • A man from Oregon summed it up perfectly after he used his CPR skills on a woman that was injured in a car accident. He said “you never think you will need to use CPR, until you use it!”. • A Rochester New York student was recently saved because of the legislation that requires all high schools in NY to have CPR training! The student fell to the floor during a gym class and luckily the new legislation made sure that there was plenty of trained people on hand to help!
